Our menu is all about pub classics, but that doesn’t tell you enough…………… We will be serving fresh, seasonal British pub food that concentrates on the quality of the produce without so called “gastro pub” prices.
Where possible, we will use local (East Midlands) suppliers but only where the quality is right. For example, we will serve a simple rib eye steak from a farm in Nottinghamshire, 28 day matured and very tasty. Our desserts are all homemade….little people love home made ice creams! The Leicestershire Lamb hotpot will do exactly what it says on the casserole dish.
As the seasons change our main menu will change, as will the produce for Saturday and Sunday brunch and our (soon to be famous) Sunday roast menu. During the week, food is available throughout the pub and specifically in the restaurant on Friday and Saturday nights. We serve food from Tuesday to Sunday, lunch and dinner (all day on Saturday and Sunday!) having bar snacks and lighter dishes for lunch or nibbles in the evening – who could resist proper Huntsman’s pie and a glass of real ale next to the Wood burner.
